The private country club world continues to evolve and Grey Oaks Country Club continues with its persistent commitment to improvement through an aggressive capital program. Grey Oaks is undergoing a $ 2.6 million dollar renovation to the Pro Shop wing of the Main Clubhouse that will be completed in November 2012. The renovation includes:
A new 2,300 square foot golf shop that doubles retail space.
Two new multi-purpose rooms for business meetings, private events, cards or after golf spaces.
A library room that may be used for reading, card playing, or as a meeting room.
2 new massage rooms that are accessible from either locker room.
Both locker rooms renovated with new appointments and resized to reflect the needs of the Club.
A new entrance for the golf shop that is closer to the bag drop area and will serve as the main golf entrance into the Club.
As an exclusive Club with 54-holes of world-class golf, world-class tennis facilities, state of the art fitness centers, outstanding food and beverage service and wonderful members, Grey Oaks has made the commitment of continuous investment in their facilities to enhance Members? enjoyment of the Club and remain attractive to new members while remaining debt free. “The Private Club world has changed in the last decade and these improvements will enhance the enjoyment for our members and guests,” says Susan Mullican Chairman of the Board of Directors. “The new Pro Shop wing is reflective of the changing needs of our Club as more family, women, and children are involved in our events and daily activities. The additional rooms will give us more flexibility for smaller, more intimate settings for our membership. The new golf shop will enhance the shopping experience while being more strategically located for a better flow through our campus. Our member communication and service will improve because of these changes.”
Recently completed capital projects include renovation of the golf course comfort stations, remodeling of both the East and Estuary Clubhouse Fitness Centers complete with equipment and flooring, screen and window enclosures on the Patio Caf and Driving Range/Golf Course improvements. Bunker Renovations, drainage enhancements and driving range tee improvements have rounded out the very busy times at Grey Oaks Country Club.
